Karlo Afan de Rivera

Karlo Afan de Rivera (Mali Lošinj, October 28, 1885 - Mostar, June 2, 1979)

He attended primary school in Dubrovnik, craft school in Zagreb. Was an assistant at the private painting school of Bela Čikoš Sesija and Menci Klement Crnčić (1904).

In 1926 he went on a study trip to Rome, Florence and Venice.

Creating between the two wars in difficult living and artistic conditions, he left an extensive painting of warm, airy, fresh and subtle watercolors.
